The Greatest Gift Ever:

I love Christmas. I love the gifts, the family, the lights and the trees. We will all get great gifts, but no gift can surpass the gift given to us 2000 years ago. We were given the greatest gift ever.

Isaiah 9:6 says that God gave Chris his son as a gift. It was a precious gift and one we tend to glance over. We know what Christmas is about but we can miss the greatest gift God gave to the world in the middle of all of our lights, trees and gifts.

why is Christ the greatest Gift?
1) John 3:16 says that it is a gift given BY GOD. The God of the universe gave us this gift. That is what makes gifts from our family special. it is not how expensive it is...it is about who took the time to give us the gift out of their love for us.

2) It is also a gift given out of God's love for us. We take great care thinking about our gifts at Christmas. So did God. Christ is an expression of God's love for us. His desire to spend enternity with us. At this time of year do we stop to realize how much God loves us.

This season you will both give and receive gifts. But there are two people when it comes to the gift of Christ.

1) Those that have received His Gift of salvation and love.
2) Those that have received and now need to pass it on.

If you know Christ I pray you will share His Gift with someone else this year. If you don't know Christ I pray you will get the greatest gift ever this season....a relationship with the Creator of the Universe.
