Camp: Day 4

Hello everyone!

We kicked of the morning with a time of worship followed by the testimony and the preaching of God's word by our very own Landree Page. She spoke from the heart and God moved in our students all morning.



After lunch it was time for recreation. The kids had fun playing inside, out in the field and in the pool.

Good morning everyone! We went all night without power but it came back on about five minutes ago. Internet is still down so I'm still updating from my phone. More pictures and maybe a video later.

We had an amazing time of worship despite the power outage and the kids are carefully on the way back to the cabins. There won't be a video up tonight, but if we have power tomorrow it will be up ASAP. We are also going to attempt to stream tomorrow night's evening worship service, which will take place at 7:00pm. We will go live about 10 minutes before the service starts. More info about that in the morning. Good night!

The storm has passed but the power is still out. We won't let that spoil our evening worship service. We grabbed some candles and acoustic guitars and are praising God as I type this. Please continue to pray for God to move tonight. More to come later.

Hi everybody! The storm has hit us hard and we are all in the cafeteria enjoying a time of acoustic worship and prayer. I think we are on the home stretch of the really bad weather. We will keep you posted.

Camp: Day 3 (Part 1)

This morning started with Celebration after breakfast. The band woke us up with a crazy game and rocked our faces off with some upbeat worship. Mark's friend Karl Enters led us to the word and shared his incredible testimony with us, which really hit home with the kids.



After lunch it was time for recreation. The kids had a blast out in the fields and in the pool.

Camp: Day 2




Hello everyone! Today was our first full day at camp and boy was it full! We started out the morning with breakfast and then morning celebration with our great camp band and our very own pastor Mark led us to the word. After that we moved into our family groups for quiet time and then family group bible study. Before we knew it it was lunch time.

After Lunch was Recreation. We had kids in the pool playing water games and kids out in the fields playing everything from sharks and minnows to kickball and ultimate frisbee. After rec was over we had some free time and then dinner and Family Group Prayer time. We then went to our evening worship service where we were rocked to our very core from the first note of the first song to last word of our fantastic camp pastor Shawn.




After worship it was time for late night and theme was Country and Western. Tonight we were excited to have a real live square dance caller who showed us all how to do everything from the electric slide to the hand jive.






Please continue to pray for us. God is moving in a mighty way and we can't wait to see what He has in store for us tomorrow. Good night!

Camp: Day 1

Hello everyone! Sorry this update is so late. The first day of camp is always crazy!

The kids arrived on schedule and we got started with an opening assembly, welcoming everyone and going over some basic ground rules. After that it was time to change clothes and head to the mud pit.



This is the first time we have been able to do a true mud pit. As you can see from the pictures below, the kids loved it.







After we had hosed all the kids down we sent them back to the dorms to shower and get ready for dinner and then family group time.

After the family groups were finished it was time for our first worship service.
Our camp worship leader Matt Roberson and his band led us in an amazing time of musical worship followed by our camp pastor, Shawn Minix. Despite it being the first night Shawn didn't hesitate to come full force with God's truth and as a result we had several decisions.







Please continue to pray for us as we allow God to work in us and through us this week.

Hey...everyone is here at camp safe and sound. The mud pit was awesome. Lincoln should be posting pictures soon....too bad he was not there with the video camera when the senior boys threw me in like a rag doll. :) Really excited about this week...we will post more later. Keep checking back for pictures and updates.
