The Bright Sadness

Just incase anyone is still checking this thing I have to do a plug for my friend Charlie's new album The Bright Sadness. It is an incredible musical journey filled with beautiful truths that we can sing to our great God in the midst of trouble and darkness. Pick it up on iTunes or anywhere you buy music.

An Update from Pastor Norris

Hi Ryan! We are still basking in the experience you and the Mission team gave to us. It was unforgettable, how everybody got involved doing whatever was needed to provide a library for the youth of our community and church. This was something we were unable to do and I know without a shadow of doubt God saw our heart’s desire and prayer , and sent all of you to us. Thank you for the blessing, and spirit filled fellowship and love we had. Please let all the team know how grateful we are for the hard work and prayers. The book drive is under way and the finishing touched are being done now. I am taking a page out of your book, by allowing the youth to put the finishing kid friendly touches to the library .We plan to dedicate the B.F. Johnson Memorial in September. I’ll sent you the pictures. I had first thought of having you speak on our mid-week empowerment worship but your actions and deeds spoke louder than words. Thank you and the team for everything, and may all your church and congregation be blessed in all you seek to do. Talk to you soon

Love Pastor R. Jeremiah Norris and the Open Door Baptist

We'll have more links later in the week for you to download more pictures so stay tuned.

Enjoy!

Hello again everyone. I'm sorry I haven't gotten these pictures up earlier, but it has been a trying few days.

Micky informed me that the block party was a huge success. We estimate there were at least 200 people in attendance during the party.

The construction at Open Door also really came together Thursday. They got all of the sheet rock up, all the taping and bedding done, the new carpet laid, and the ten book cases for the library put together.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers as we have been working diligently to make the love of God tangible for lost and hurting people in Philadelphia. Pray that everyone would return home safely. See you Wednesday at 6:30 for the report service in the Attic!
